Custom Arrangements

Throughout my time at IUP I’ve explored arranging music for both large ensembles and chamber groups. My specialty is translating choral works for saxophone quartet and saxophone ensemble, but below you’ll find a variety of genres and instrumentations!

Holding Out for a Hero (Bonnie Tyler), for Marching/Pep Band. This was created as part of a hypothetical “Shrek Movie Franchise” Marching Band show.

Daemon Irrepit Callidus (György Orbán), for Saxophone Quartet or Saxophone Ensemble.

Adoration (Florence Price), for Saxophone Ensemble.

Creston Fanfare, for Pep Band. Based on the opening line of Paul Creston’s Sonata, Op. 19, for Saxophone and Piano. Full disclosure: I wrote this as a joke, expecting to show no one, but ended up liking it quite a bit.

The Music of Stillness (Elaine Hagenberg), for Saxophone Quartet.

This is Halloween (Danny Elfman), for Saxophone Ensemble. Features spoken dialogue and other sound effects.

Botanic Panic (Kristofer Maddigan), for Saxophone Ensemble, including Bass Saxophone. Features two solo sections.

Merry-Go-Round of Life (Joe Hisaishi) for Mixed Ensemble. Clarinet, three trumpets, horn, bass clarinet, tuba, and piano. Written as my final project for a conducting class at IUP. You can watch me conduct this piece on my Performance Samples page!
